East Hill Foundation is a private foundation that provides grant funding to support innovative, charitable projects and programs. The Foundation considers grant applications from qualified 501(c)(3) organizations, which address community needs and opportunities in such areas as: arts and culture, education, youth, health, social needs, civic issues and animal protection. Community giving is primarily focused within the eight counties of Western New York: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming County.
A grant application, which includes a checklist of required attachments, must be completed for grant consideration. Six assembled sets of each document must be submitted. Please assemble the sets in the order listed on page 3 of the grant application. Please do not bind pages or send folders. Please use paper clips, binder clips, staples or rubber bands to secure each application with the required attachments. Completed applications must be postmarked FIRST CLASS mail on or before August 4, 2008 or delivered to the Foundation office by 4 p.m. on August 4, 2008 to be considered during this funding cycle. Please do not send via Parcel Post Mail. Grant applications sent by FAX will not be considered.
The East Hill Foundation Board of Directors will meet to review grant applications and make funding decisions. The Foundation staff may request a site visit prior to the Board meeting. Following the meeting, organizations will be notified in writing as to the Board's determinations. East Hill Foundation is able to fund only a limited portion of the requests received.
In general, East Hill Foundation support is not provided for general operating expenses, endowment, technology, private education, scholarships, salaries, travel and fundraising expenses. Grants are not made to individuals, religious organizations for direct religious purposes or political groups. Only one WNY Grant Application per organization may be considered during any one year funding cycle.
